Taylor Pensoneau - Governor Pat Quinn Project

Taylor Pensoneau worked for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as its Illinois Statehouse reporter during the 1970s, and chronicled the 1972 campaign and four year gubernatorial administration of Dan Walker. Pat Quinn was one of many young campaign workers for Walker during the campaign who then worked in the Walker administration. Quinn began in the administration as an ombudsman, then transfered to the Department of Transportation where Pensoneau believes he performed personnel work. Pensoneau wrote a series of articles in 1975 on alleged ghost payrollers in the Department of Transportation.
