A New Interactive Children’s Exhibit Coming Soon

The future of every community begins with its youngest citizens.

Coming soon to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Citizen City is a new hands-on children’s exhibit designed for ages 3–9 that will introduce young visitors to community, citizenship, and Abraham Lincoln’s enduring belief in the power of ordinary people to shape the future.

Through immersive play and storytelling, children will explore a vibrant city built just for them — harvesting vegetables, helping neighbors, experimenting with renewable energy, solving problems, and discovering how small actions can make a big difference.

More than a children’s space, Citizen City is an investment in the next generation of leaders, neighbors, and engaged citizens. Thousands of children and families will experience the exhibit each year through hands-on learning designed to inspire curiosity, empathy, teamwork, and civic understanding.

Help Bring Citizen City to Life

We invite individuals, families, businesses, and community partners to help support this exciting new exhibit through sponsorship opportunities starting at just $1,000.
