Jen Ellison is the vice president of creative at The Second City and a Chicago-based writer, director, and performer with a dynamic career spanning theater and comedy. As a resident director for The Second City, she has directed productions for all three Touring Companies, contributed to the Outreach & Diversity program, and helmed resident stage shows such as Apes of Wrath and Do the Right Thing, No Worries, If Not. Beyond Second City, her directing credits include collaborations with Collaboration, Trap Door Theatre, and The Neo-Futurists, where she serves as an artistic associate. Jen also shares her expertise as a screenwriting instructor at DePaul University and as a faculty member in the Comedy Writing and Performance program at Columbia College Chicago.
