Terry Ransom - Springfield African-American History Foundation

Terry Ransom was born in Champaign, Illinois in 1941 and moved to Springfield with his parents while he was still a child. He has done a great deal of research on the Underground Railroad, including drawing up a map of the various routes that passed through Illinois. In his interview, he discusses some of the major areas of Illinois that were involved in the Underground Railroad as well as some of his own family history.
