Glenn Matthews - World War II

Glenn Matthews was born in 1922 and grew up on the family farm in central Illinois. During WW II he served as a staff officer with the 6th Ranger Battalion, which saw action in the Philippine campaign. The unit participated in the famous Cabanatuan raid in January 1945, rescuing over 500 Allied POWs. Following the war, Glenn returned to Roby, Illinois and starting his own builder/contractor business.
