Peter Embalabala - Immigrant Stories

Peter Embalabala was born and raised in Vihiga, Kenya. Shortly after finishing school in Kenya, Embalabala immigrated to Spring Arbor, Michigan in 1980 at the age of 21. After earning his bachelor’s degree in biology and mathematics, Embalabala earned his master’s in mathematics and has taught at a community college since 1992. Embalabala became a permanent resident of the United States in 1985.
