Cindy Dykas - Public School Funding

Cindy Dykas, the Superintendent of the Worth School District, discusses school funding from the perspective of a school board member and school administrator for a south Cook county Elementary School District found in Tier 1. She reviews topics such as funding prior to the new Evidence Based Funding model, with the school district using the new EBF funds, obtaining a property tax swap grant, school district sources of local and federal funding, and its successful bond sales and school referendums.
