Antonio Carbajal - Tumultuous 2020

Antonio Carbajal, a dual language teacher of Spanish and English at Jefferson Elementary School in Harvard, Illinois discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted his students, his curriculum, and the school’s dual language program from March 2020 to October 2021. Carbajal outlines the different challenges his students faced because of the pandemic, which included food insecurity and lack of access to a stable Internet connection. Carbajal details the return to in-person learning in the spring of 2021.
