John Ackerman - Modern Era

John Ackerman grew up on a typical Illinois livestock and row-crop farm, then diversified into pumpkins for Libby foods. That led to ornamentals, gourds, fall flowers, apples and decorative items, and to agri-tourism with a petting zoo and corn maze. His wife opened a second shop in Morton. Survival by niche market.
