Sara Wolforth - Civics Education

Sara Wolforth discusses the organization, time line, and work objectives of the Civic Education Task Force which met in 2013-2014. She documents the role a researcher from the Midwest Comprehensive Center played while assisting the Illinois State Board of Education and members of the Task Force on research questions tied to national civics education.  Sara reviewed the membership of the task force and discussed the duties of the Task Force, its four public meeting and four statewide public hearings, the resources used, plus recommendations on how civics should be taught nationwide.
