Jack Waddle - Civics Education

Jack Waddle teaches a civics class to seniors as well as social studies and advance placement classes at Carmel Catholic High School in Mundelein, Illinois. He discusses how civics education is being implemented at Carmel Catholic HS, and especially the content he uses for his civics class. Waddle reviews the types of controversial topics used, as well as the service projects in which the students participate. He reviews the focus of the Social Justice Club, the dual credit Criminal Justice class, and how he cultivates news literacy among his students. Jack also teaches the advance placement Comparative Government Class.
