Mehul Trivedi - Tumultuous 2020

Mehul Trivedi, Ph.D., shares his experiences as a neuropsychiatrist at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine during the COVID-19 pandemic. Trivedi details the early days of the virus in March of 2020 and the impact the shutdown had on his practice. He describes the financial implications of the shut-down and the metrics of completing psychiatric exams via Webex. As Illinois moved towards a partial reopening during Phase 3 in the summer of 2020, Trivedi describes the large volume of patients he saw. Throughout the interview Trivedi continues to outline chronologically his pandemic experience both from a professional and personal perspective, including his experience with a breakthrough COVID-19 infection.
