Dee Runaas - Civics Education

Dee Runass discusses the activities of the Constitutional Rights Foundation-Chicago (CRFC) in its efforts to provide professional civics training for teachers, and civics programs for middle and high schools students. Those include summer institutes (More Perfect Union and Supreme Court), the Illinois Youth Summit, Black History Month programs, Equal Justice Under the Law, and mock trial models. The CRFC was active in the formation of the Illinois Civics Mission Coalition, an organization that helped promote the creation of Illinois Democracy High Schools.
