Brita Hunegs - Civics Education

Brita Hunegs discusses her experiences as a student in the Journalism Department at DePaul University, including a review of the ethical training she received, while also looking at understanding media literacy and current challenges in journalism. Through DePaul's Center of Journalism Integrity and Excellence, Brita worked on two television documentaries, one on the 2013 tornado that devastated Washington, Illinois, and another one examining the state's new gambling law and its impact on Illinois citizens.
