Summer Griffith - Tumultuous 2020

In the beginning of 2020, Griffith and her family were making arrangements to move to Springfield, Illinois, to be closer to her mother. When they came to Springfield in March 2020 to look for houses, their plans were disrupted by the start of the Illinois stay-at-home order. They delayed their move until August when they planned to move in with Griffith's mother while they looked for houses. Shortly after their move, the entire family became sick with COVID. Griffith's mother became severely ill and was taken to the hospital. In her interview, Griffith shares her experience with her mother's decline and eventual passing. She examines how the loss impacted her and her family. She closes the interview by reflecting on 2020 and the following years.
