Illinois State Representative Tom Demmer discusses how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted the 90th district, which includes parts of DeKalb, LaSalle, Lee, and Ogle counties. At the time of the interview, he was also working as the Director of Strategic Planning at Katherine Shaw Bethea (KSB) Hospital in Dixon, Illinois. He details the way the hospital was effected by the pandemic. He also outlines the operations of the General Assembly and overall state government response to COVID-19 from the initial shutdown in March of 2020 to the time of the interview in December of 2021.
