Dean Cantù - Civics Education

Dr. Dean Cantu discusses how Bradley University prepares students in the field of social studies education, the amount of hours spent in pre-teaching and student teaching experiences, and how Bradley University’s education department has been restructured to meet new civics education standards. He also examines social studies methods (primary sources and technology), the Illinois Council for the Social Studies (500 members), and how civics is being implemented at a local Illinois high school.
