Craig Anderson - Tumultuous 2020

Craig Anderson, the executive director of the Illinois High School Association during the COVID-19 pandemic years of 2020-2021, discusses the impact the pandemic had on the IHSA, its 814 member schools, their students and communities throughout Illinois. Beginning with the cancellation of the boy's state basketball tournament in the spring of 2020, the next year saw all of IHSA's usual sports and other school activities dramatically reduced because of the pandemic. Anderson also discusses the financial impact on IHSA, Payroll Protection loans, and the IHSA's relationship with state health agencies, parents and community groups.
