To obtain a copy of an obituary found in the Obituary Index

To obtain a copy of an obituary via email for a fee of $5:

1. Click on info for that obituary.
2. Click on submit duplication request, which will take you to log-in to your Aeon account.
3. Click on submit request.

Payment must be received before the search will be done!

Once staff have received your request, you will receive an email with a link to make online payment. There is also a link in your Aeon account to make the online payment as well.

To view obituaries found in the index at the Library:

We do require appointments to view materials at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. If you find obituaries you wish to view, please schedule your appointment by contacting our Reference Desk at 217-524-6358 or alplm.reference@illinois.gov

1. Click on info for that obituary.
2. Click on submit duplication request.
3. Once you're in your Aeon account and can see the request form, click on the Schedule a visit button. 
4. Make sure to check the box regarding scheduling a visit and then click on submit.
