Dollar Kids Day at ALPLM: All About Weather!

May 4th, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Saturday, May 4, is our final “Dollar Kids Day” at the ALPLM to celebrate our latest exhibit that’s created just for kids!

The Questioneers: Read. Question. Think. PLAY! will introduce visitors to Ada Twist, scientist; Rosie Revere, engineer; Iggy Peck, architect; Sofia Valdez, future prez; and Aaron Slater, illustrator. Each character’s story highlights problem-solving, determination, risk-taking, bravery and the role of caring adults.

To make the day extra special, meteorologists from the National Weather Service office in Lincoln will be in the museum plaza from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. to inspire future meteorologists with their tornado and lightning generator demonstrations, as well as provide severe weather safety information and answer weather related questions.

To make the exhibit accessible to as many people as possible, the ALPLM will admit children on May 4 for just $1. Children 5-12 will be admitted for a dollar each, rather than the usual price of $6.
