Image of flags The 27th Conference on Illinois History is an annual conference hosted by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, highlighting research into any aspect of Illinois’s history, culture, politics, geography, or archaeology.

Conference sessions will be held at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. Attendees may visit the museum for FREE during the two days of the conference. Just show your conference name badge to any of our museum guest experience representatives at the ticket counter to receive your free museum admission.

Conference sessions begin at 8:30am and run until 5:00pm each day.

Special Keynote Speaker Luncheons

New this year! The two keynote lunch programs will take place in the lobby of the Illinois State Treasurer’s office, just one block south of the ALPLM Library. Whether you choose to attend one or both luncheons, conference attendees who register for the keynote luncheons will gain admission to the keynote program and a complimentary hot lunch, served buffet style. But hurry -- space is limited for the luncheons and reservations will fill up fast!

Rooms have been set aside at the following hotels for check-in on Wednesday, October 1, and Thursday, October 2, and a limited number of rooms are held on Friday, October 3.

Parking:

Parking during the conference is available in the Museum Parking Garage, one block north of the presidential library on the west side of N. 6^th Street, just north of Madison Street. There is a nominal charge for parking in our garage.

If you choose to park in public parking spaces along any downtown street, parking is free within the designated time posted for the parking spot. For example: If the spot is posted as “Three Hour Parking” and your vehicle exceeds that time allotment, you’ll likely receive a parking ticket.
