ALPLM Readers Theater: Gettysburg

Join our ALPLM actors for a special readers theater presentation that examines the events surrounding Lincoln’s writing and delivery of his most famous speech.

“Gettysburg” is a readers theater piece; a style of theater in which the actors present the script without costumes, scenery, or special lighting. Actors use only scripts and vocal expression to help the audience understand and follow the story.

These special reader theater presentations will take place in the museum plaza on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the month of November. The readings are approximately 15 minutes in length and will begin at 11:00 a.m. and then again at 12:00 p.m.

These performances are free to attend and are included in the price of your regular museum admission.
