Tales from the Vault: The Lives of the Lincoln Boys

September 23rd, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm

Please join us in-person or online at the newly scheduled date and time: Thursday, September 23 at 12pm Central time. (This program was originally scheduled for September 2)

Abraham Lincoln was, according to a relative, “remarkably fond of children.” His and Mary’s relationship with their children was often joyous but also tragic. Please join ALPLM Lincoln Historian Christian McWhirter for the next Tales from the Vault program as he discusses the lives of the Lincoln children and shares objects from the collection that help tell their story and give us a glimpse of the Lincolns’ family life.

This will be a “hybrid” event with the opportunity to attend in-person or virtually. The in-person program will take place in our library’s multi-purpose room on Thursday, September 23 at 12pm.

The event is free; reservations are not required.

Prefer Virtual?

To watch virtually via Facebook Live, please go to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum Facebook page. Open the page at 12pm Central time on September 23 and scroll to the post highlighting the live event. Once you’re there, simply click on the image and watch the live video stream.

Tales from the Vault is a monthly collaboration between the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, the Illinois State Museum, and the Lincoln Home National Historic Site.
