President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address is one of the most famous and revered speeches ever given in the English language. Here at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, we are honored to hold many items in our collection related to the Address and its legacy. Chief among those items is one of only five copies of the Gettysburg Address written in Lincoln’s own hand—the third “Everett” copy.
