Work Case 2

Abraham Lincoln was an accomplished lawyer who took many cases in almost all aspects of the law. In this newly discovered document, Lincoln writes a plea for case in which one of the opposing lawyers was James Shields. A Democrat, Shields had previously almost fought Lincoln in a duel and would later serve as a Civil War general.
