Captain Lincoln

When Black Hawk led a group of indigenous people into Illinois in 1832 to reclaim their land, Abraham Lincoln enlisted in the state militia to help force them out. He never saw combat, but his company elected him their captain. Here, he helps one of his former soldiers receive compensation for a lost horse.
