The Illinois Gallery is the Museum’s special exhibit space and it may be added to a Museum rental event to offer your guests more of the Museum to explore.
In 2024, there will be three special exhibits to explore. Please see below for a description and run dates for each of the exhibits.

Learn about the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln, and his contributions to the American identity through a unique tactile exhibit which brings 2-dimensional art into touchable 3D – Special sensors trigger audio features for each station – designed to create an experience for patrons with visual impairment, this exhibit can be enjoyed by all visitors who want to get up close and personal with the 16th President.
Abraham Lincoln is regarded as one of the greatest leaders in American history, and a permanent part of the American spirit. As the mythology around him has grown, his image and life have been appropriated across a broad cultural spectrum. This exhibit not only tells his story, but dives into his impact on the US government as well as corporate America.
