The Lincoln Reception Room is a glass and stone rotunda on the first floor of the Library. Three-stories tall, it features an engraved excerpt from the Gettysburg Address and views of the Museum and Union Square Park.  

This venue is a popular setting for receptions, wedding rehearsal dinners, luncheons, and board/business meetings. It is the location for our packaged daytime event Lunch at the Library.

Rental Charge

  • $550 Full-Day 
    • Daytime: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (up to 8 hours of event time)
    • Evening:  5:00 pm - 10:00 pm (up to 4 hours of event time)
  • $275 Half-Day (up to 4 daytime hours)

Capacities

  • Reception: 100 guests
  • Dinner: 60 guests

Weekend Events

Interested in hosting an event at the Library over the weekend? A Weekend Event Charge applies in addition to the venue rental charge.

  • Weekend Event Charge – Full Day $500
  • Weekend Event Charge – Half Day or Evening $300

The additional charge would not apply if three or more venues are rented for a weekend daytime or evening Library event, or if there is a Museum event associated with the Library weekend event.

The ALPLM staff were professional and supportive while arranging a celebration of life luncheon. The Lincoln Reception Room was an impressive venue, adding beauty and history to the event. The catering was superb.
