Exhibit Guides

The ALPLM provides exhibit guides to assist educators in planning effective, engaging museum visits for their students. These guides help educators and chaperones enrich students’ learning experiences in the exhibits and may include supplemental contextual information, pre- and post-visit activities, discussion questions, key vocabulary, or lessons to complete in the exhibits.
Core Exhibit Guide
Our core exhibit encourages guests to experience the life and times of President Abraham Lincoln through immersive spaces and interactive displays. As a supplemental tool, this guide provides additional contextual information and activities to help students to connect with ALPLM's exhibits.

Temporary Exhibit Guide
Housed in the Illinois Gallery, the ALPLM changes our temporary exhibits annually. Our current exhibit, Stories Of Survival: Object. Image. Memory., was created by the Illinois Holocaust Museum and runs through January 2023.
The exhibit highlights the objects and stories of Illinoisians who survived the Holocaust and genocides in Armenia, Bosnia, Cambodia, Iraq, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Syria. To facilitate a more meaningful experience for students, the Illinois Holocaust Museum created Teacher's and Student's Guides; to download the guides, please click the buttons below.
