Art is more than just a form of expression, it’s a form of emotions for the artist and audience. Art can be created through pen and paper, brush and canvas, or welding tools and metal to entice the audience to be drawn into the emotions of the piece. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum invites visitors to explore the life and legacy of Richard Hunt through a new exhibit, Freedom in Form: Richard Hunt. Showcasing the outstanding pieces of art that he created into sculptures with many different materials. This exhibit will inspire visitors to connect through sculptures, artifacts, videos, and books with how Richard Hunt used his life to create an amazing legacy of freedom through art.
