PD in Your PJs: Owen Muelder, The Underground Railroad in Illinois and Its Abolitionist Roots

o For the PD in Your PJs series, we invite you to come as you are, drink what you want, engage with the experts, and leave with 1.0 CPDU credit.
o Owen Muelder, Director of the Galesburg Colony Underground Railroad Freedom Station at Knox College, will present on the Underground Railroad in Illinois and it’s abolitionists roots. He will begin with a discussion of the establishment of the American Anti-Slavery Society and the impact of the Second Great Awakening on the Anti-Slavery Movement, and then turn to the Underground Railroad in Illinois, primarily concentrating on the sections of the state which were most involved with the UGRR.
