An Evening with Thomas Jefferson

May 13th - 13th

Join us on Monday, May 13, at 7:00 p.m. in Union Theater for a spirited and informative evening with the third President of the United States, Thomas Jefferson.

Historian and Interpreter Kurt Smith from Colonial Williamsburg will portray President Jefferson as he recounts his life as a revolutionary, founding father, diplomat, and eventual President. Most importantly, he’ll talk about the promise of Westward Expansion to the Illinois Territory and beyond, as well as share Jefferson’s thoughts on the future of our young nation still struggling through growing pains in a quest to see if this nation can endure. You’ll even have the opportunity to engage with Kurt during a Q&A session following his presentation.

This is a free program, but advance registration is required.

This program is a collaboration between the ALPLM, the Lewis and Clark State Historic Site, and the Lewis and Clark Society of America.
