History Cooks! Mrs. Lincoln's Southern Cooking

Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln were totally unlike.... Although both Lincoln’s came originally from Kentucky, they reflected two completely different Kentucky traditions. Mary was raised in the lush bluegrass region.  Mr. Lincoln grew up on the frontier, where he ate very plain food.  Join Lincoln Land Community College Chef Instructor Lakesha Jackson who will demonstrate some of Mrs. Lincoln’s Southern favorites and Linsey Hughes from the Lincoln Home National Historic Site will be on hand to talk Mrs. Lincoln. This is a free program. Advance registration is not required.
