PD in Your PJs: Setting the Record Straight: What Caused the Civil War

April 17th, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Since the Civil War began, there has been confusion and misinformation about its political and social causes. Arguments about these issues only increased when the war ended, as participants and subsequent generations tried to shape how Americans remembered it. Join ALPLM Lincoln Historian Christian McWhirter for a discussion of how America’s greatest crisis came about, and the various myths created over the years to both reveal and distort how we remember the causes and conduct of the Civil War.

For the PD in Your PJs series, we invite you to come as you are, drink what you want, engage with the experts, and leave with 1.0 CPDU credit.
