PD in Your PJs: "A Direct Appeal:" Letters of African Americans to President Lincoln

For the PD in Your PJs series, we invite you to come as you are, drink what you want, engage with the experts, and leave with 1.0 CPDU credit.

Join the ALPLM Education and Research teams as we lead participants in an examination of the letters of African Americans to President Lincoln. This session will illuminate the feeling of connectedness between African Americans and President Lincoln, while demonstrating their advocacy in exercising the right to address their commander-in-chief. This hands-on, participatory session will include context and different types of letters such as appeals to Lincoln and expressions of both admiration and disapproval.
