Book Club for Educators: An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States

November 7th, 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Join the ALPLM’s Education department as we read and discuss Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz's award-winning book, An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States. Her comprehensive work asks us to reexamine the founding myths embraced by our textbooks and to confront the colonialist policies embraced by the United States that led to the displacement and elimination of indigenous peoples.

This virtual Book Club for Educators invites you to come as you are, drink what you want, and chat about great books with your peers. This virtual event is free, but registration is required. All participants who read An Indigenous Peoples’ History of the United States and attend the discussion will receive 6.5 CPDUs.
