Little Lincoln's (Virtual) Fireside Tales: Presidential Pets

Little Lincoln’s Fireside Tales invites children up to 5 years old (Pre-K) and their caregivers to share in an exciting storytime with our Education staff and special visitors. Each month we will focus on a specific theme and may highlight arts and crafts, creative song and dance, or hands-on activities to supplement the stories being read.

April 30, 2021 is National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day and to celebrate, the ALPLM is partnering with the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site and and the Animal Protective League of Springfield and Sangamon County to highlight our furry (and feathered) friends. Round up your four-legged friends and join us as we share stories about the Presidential Pets that called White House home and maybe meet a few special guests looking for a home of their own!
